Impossible

The game is cool, there are some problems with collision, but otherwise it's nice.

I like this game a lot, though it is a little repetitive. All 48hr games are bound to be, though.

This game really truly fits the construction theme. Collect metal and build (construct) turrets. This system is VERY cool, and the reward (getting to use the turret! :) is, well, rewarding. I gave grahpics a 4 because I liked the intro screen art (evil sheep on the left in particular) and the levels were surely not tile-based. The collision detection was pretty good too, considering the abstract nature of the objects. Really good, actually.

I gave the cosmetic theme a 5 because it fit it well. I gave completeness a 3. There only seems to be one level; perhaps I am wrong, but I don't know. It does get a little repetitive, like I said, but not bad at all. If there was a little more variety and some more levels, this game could be taken to a whole new level.

Technically this is a very advanced game, and therefore hard to debug. Nevertheless you did a great job in this short time. It's a little easy to win yet, i guess it would be big fun as a multiplayer game. I especially liked the sound fx, they added a lot. Dismounting the turrets was a little unintuitive at first, maybe pressing c again would be a better solution. The sheep are a little slow with their bat.
Nice parallax scrolling!

This one was pretty cool. Your sheep guy was really cute and funny. I presume the enemies were wolves, but they damn well looked like cats to me. The building of the turret and hopping in and then shooting it artillery style was cool - practically two games worth of work went into this! As someone else said, it could lead to a cool 2-player game (though it might need walls you could build to stop the bullets... hey, you could spend your metal pieces either on the wall, or on turrets!). I really like the pixel-precise landscape stuff, and it's also fun to smack cats with a stick. Funny sound!

Not too tough to get yourself stuck on the landscape though!

Excellent game; I got the sheeps head stuck in a cliff; I got a screen shot of it too so if you wanna see it let me know and I'll email it to you! The way the player slows down walking up and down slopes is very cool.

LordCovenant

Very good... My only complaint is the collision detection... The rest is great... Needs a bit more work on the AI, but besides that! Make it a 2 player game and you've got a hit! :)

PoVRAZOR

Nice work there. Controls are a little stiff, and the collision is a little wonky none the less (thanks for the Q key). Cannon mode is neato. Code is cleanly done, despite the lack time.

Jolle

This game got the way coolest "ai" i've seen so far in the contest, and coolest level too. You get a top notch technical 5. A few more levels would have been nice, but this is a 48h contest after all. I had a bit low framerate, but that is my own fault, 'cos i could have played this on another computer. Also had cool start and end images.

Good effort. I liked the parallax fg/bg. The construction, destruction and sheep elements were all there. I had a ?club? but could only swing it randomly. Would've been nice to have been able to defend myself or the home base.

LoneStranger

I like the look of the game. Would be neat to have different kinds of devices to build, maybe introduce them every level or so. Don't know where Deconstruction fits into the game though. I had fun jumping around, but some of the gaps were too small to effectivly move around in. Not a big deal. I like the turrets. Maybe let you swivel them around?

Thenend

Some collision problems (mine also have :-), and need a way of left the metal on the floor. A great game in general. Liked the bat sound.

MattB

Very original, but unfortunately not too fun now, mainly due to the enemy. They pose little threat (they never use turrets) and, if you could drop metal pieces and if the collision detection didn't get you caught so often, they'd be really easy to take out completely. Two players only might've been a better choice (in the context of this contest)...

ADD ON: I tried the bug fix with the suicide key and I can say that it makes the game a lot less frusterating. In fact, now that I don't have to worry about getting stuck, the game is better. Still short and little replay value, but a fun five minutes.

ShredWheat

great job, i wasn't entirely sure what to do, but i had fun doing it.

mfassett

This was very cool. Except for some collision problems when jumping in the lower levels (like getting stuck), it was fun to play. Wish I could have picked up some other weapons to use, like a handgun.

jovoc

Excellent game! Looks and sounds great. Nice two-level scrolling. Did a great job of capturing both construction and destruction. Wolf AI is a little funny, and I wish the turrents could change direction but that's part of the game I guess. Would be nice to have more levels.

UberHaxor

Great game! The graphics were pretty and it had nice sound effects. The scrollable landscape was also implemented well. I think it was a bit too hard to hit the sheep with turrets, but it was fun trying to shoot them anyway. And I liked the construction part. Only 4 for cosmetic since the sheep didn't really look like one.

Gutter

Still very buggy (unless I have a sticky head) But it was fun shooting wolves
